The Shamans Coat ( Hands That Heal )

      THE  SHAMANS COAT  ( HANDS THAT HEAL )

I speak with two faces and a thousand veils,

I am easy, yielding, impersonal, like a mood,

I accept them as my due, for I can just as well

be the one thing as the other  ---

In recognition of your helpfulness,

The eternal embrace, like the sensous, is transient,

When the earth, the stars, the sky open their arms to you,

And the velvet hands kiss you while yer asleep   ---



I've always loved you, I've always been near,

Like a coat to keep you warm I'll whisper in your ear,

It wakes the dormant though it never sleeps,

Heaven is the spectrum, and so are the dreams that you keep   ---


I desire nothing which is not freely given,

Love is not needing an excuse,

There is lightning, there is thunder,

& you look to me cause you know why   ---



What do you see in me ?, anything that you can be,

Look to the wound  & you - shall see the cure,

There's the unseen partner in a dance which is danced as one,

Through vertigo I shall speak to you in your dreams -


      I speak with a few faces and a thousand veils,

      We are of a hidden race behind the six mountains,

      I left the land of my youth, maybe I'll come back to you someday,

      The shadow moves as the sun commands   ------
